Dear ESS Family and Friends,

We extend our heartfelt gratitude for taking part in our fundraiser. Our annual Walkathon is our
school’s most significant fundraising initiative and your involvement holds immense importance
for us.

Our target donation per family is $500.00. We deeply value your support as your contributions
will make a substantial difference in several key areas:

● Expanding in-school programs and workshops for the benefit of our students

● Supporting our fund dedicated to the essential seismic upgrade of the school

● Strengthening ESS’s connection with the community through outreach efforts

Every dollar donated will directly contribute to enriching the educational journey of all our
students. Your generosity is truly appreciated!

Important Details:

Date: Friday October 11th (approximately noon dismissal at ESS)

Start Time: after mass (approximately 10:15 am)

Route: Students depart ESS to Douglas Park and around then return to ESS

Fundraising Goal: $50,000.00

Ask: $500.00 per family minimum

Pledging: Online at Canada Helps and a paper pledge sheet for cheques and cash. Donations
$20.00 and more will receive a Tax Receipt. Cheques MUST be made out to Blessed Sacrament
Parish.

Volunteer Opportunities: available on the Parent Participation Portal.

Please note: Pledge forms with cash/cheques must be returned by October 25th by 3:30PM in a
sealed envelope to count towards prizes/incentives – NO EXCEPTIONS.

To set up your child’s walkathon fundraising page, visit the school’s fundraising Canada Helps website and create a team.

Create your family team:

1. Click “Sign in” located in the upper right corner.
For returning families, sign in using your previous year’s information.
For new families, create an account.

2. Click on “Create a Team”.

3. Fill in personal information, and the Account Type: Personal, click Continue.

4. Create your Team Name -THIS IS THE IMPORTANT PART – Team name MUST be your FAMILY LAST NAME and then the names of your children at the school. For example: SMITH (John/Jane/Sally). Please do not use grades or additional titles.

5. Copy and send the link out to all your family and friends!
