FUNDRAISING AT ESS

Have you ever wondered why we fundraise? Fundraising is a crucial part of our ESS community. It helps provide the best possible educational experiences for our students. It provides our students with opportunities they wouldn’t otherwise have. Every dollar made from fundraising directly helps our students.  


What are some current fundraising needs?

  1. Additional Leveled Reading Programs in multiple classes 

  2. New sports/ athletic/ PALs jerseys,

  3. Repainting of hopscotch in the courtyard

  4. Funding the Positive Behaviour Support Program

  5. Replacement of gym/ school roof

  6. New meshing on basketball hoops

  7. More outdoor equipment: seating, play toys, etc...

  8. Seismic Upgrade Project


How has fundraising helped in the past?

  1. Artificial turf in the front of the school

  2. Replacement of wood chips to a safer rubber mat around the playground

  3. Painted track lines in the courtyard and a long Jump Box

  4. Outdoor Education Programs (Loon Lake, Garden Box, picnic tables, etc)

  5. New technology packages for intermediates 

  6. New aquariums in the school

  7. Ongoing support to a variety of school programs (Hip-hop, plays, etc)

  8. Seismic upgrade evaluations ($50,000 plus)

  9. Replacement of class sets of instruments

  10. Books in classrooms libraries


Please note that these lists are not limited to only what is presented. As our school needs evolve, so do these lists.
